Although we are run largely by volunteers we do have a few paid staff running essential day to day functions of the club. Recently both Becky Haywood and Sue Bull have tendered their resignations, in Becky's case to move to a full time role at Greene King and In Sue's case to take on a more flexible role time wise to fit around family needs.
As a result we announce some changes to some of the team's roles. These are as follows..........
1. Alex Threadkall will be moving over from looking after our book keeping and accounts to take up the role of Facilities Manager. Although still a part time role, Alex will be working every week day and she will be based at the club. Alex’s normal hours will be 10am- 3pm Monday to Friday.
2. Sue Bull will take up a new role of Commercial Relations Manager . Sue will working under Nigel Birrell, managing our many sponsors and commercial partners, looking after all the admin around them, giving them more TLC, whilst helping Nigel and David Reid to look for new sponsors and revenue streams. Sue will work 10 hours per week.
3. Assistant Groundsman/caretaker- we will be filling part of the tasks previously covered by Ollie Deeming with a paid Pro-Am squad player, who will have a split role, partly doing coaching in Schools as part of the Community Team, partly doing the groundsman’s assistant role, working under the direction of Andy Spetch. We still expect most of the actual mowing to be carried out by the volunteer mowing gang. White lining, AWP cleaning, strimming, tidying etc will be done by the new player.
Timings are bit fluid, but the handovers will start over the next couple of weeks, so that by the middle to end of May ( Groundsman aside), everyone will be into their new roles.
