Foxes storm to victory in top of the table clash winning 0-59

It was the clash between the two at top of the table as the Bury Foxes travelled to West Norfolk for what was guaranteed to be a close battle between the two teams.
However, with a strong defensive performance and a dominant attack the Bury foxes came out fighting to come away with a very convincing win, 0-59.
With a nervy first five minutes for the Foxes and West Norfolk a like it was clear that this game was going to be a battle of nerves. However it was the Foxes that quickly controlled this to put points on the board first. With strong tackles coming in from both forwards and backs a like Bury were able to hold off the first attack by West Norfolk. This resulted in some lovely backs moves for them to gain metres, finding themselves in the 22. With the ball finding its way into the West Norfolk hands it was Louisa Honeybun that ripped the ball on the try line to get the Foxes first try. This was converted by Danni Lee (0-7).
With dominant performances in the scrum and line outs, in particular the steals in the air by Florence Webb the ball was quickly passed to the backs who could show their skills and pace leading to the next two trys. Holly Fifield showing an impressive performance at ten was able to control the game with the ball being passed to Em Gattlin for her pop the ball to EJ Stearn for the second try. With the third following quickly by a good run down the wing by Steph Durrant to gain metres resulting in good hands from the Foxes for Chantelle Higgins to score Burys Third. (0-17).
The forth try came from a strong run by EJ Stearn for her to be able to pop the ball up for Danni Lee to score under the post and adding the conversion to her own try. (0-24). With the Foxes feeling more confident the last two trys before half time were to come from strong runs from the forwards, in particular Dee Burris, Alex Rowles and Kaylee Williams. This led to both EJ Stearn and Robyn Gordon running through multiple West Norfolk players to score under the posts. Both trys being converted by Robyn Gordon and Danni Lee. (0-35)
The second half saw West Norfolk fighting back to get some points on the board however they were constantly knocked back by the defensive effort from the Foxes including a number of trys being held up from both backs and forwards, in particular Steph Durrant, Dee Burris and Natalie Palmer. This did not put the attack from West Norfolk off as they continued to hit Bury hard with strong tackles coming from a combined effort from the foxes, with players putting their all into keeping West Norfolk out.
This resulted in a penalty in Burys favour which resulted in the next try for bury with a strong run from Holly Fifield through a number of players to pop the ball up to Lucy Kerr to score under the posts, converted by Danni Lee. (0-45). The last two trys of the game came from some impressive backs moves and through the hands for Lucy Kerr to score under the posts and Robyn Gordon to run down the length of the pitch on the wing to score her second of the game. Both converted by Robyn Gordon and Danni Lee. (0-59).
The game was closed out with the Bury Foxes holding strong and not letting West Norfolk put any points on the board.
